1st Call for application to UNITA PhD Cotutelles/fellowships: 2021
From June 29, 2021 to July 15, 2021

Within the framework of the UNITA project, 8 doctoral grants will be awarded by UPPA and Université Savoie-Mont-Blanc (USMB). The research topics are cultural heritage, renewable energies and circular economy. These cotutelles/fellowships will be conducted in the framework of a collaboration between a research team of UPPA or USMB and a research team of a partner university of the alliance. This call is open to all applicants of any nationality, including students from universities outside the UNITA alliance. Deadline for applications: Thursday, July 15, 2021 at noon.

Research themes
One of the objectives of UNITA is to develop research and innovation activities in each of the three thematic areas of the alliance:
- Cultural heritage
- Renewable energies
- Circular economy
Selection criteria
Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent degree) with outstanding records.
- The candidate's marks and rankings during the selection process
- The candidate’s motivation, scientific maturity, and curiosity
- The adequacy between the research project and his/her skills
- Ability to work independently and to take responsibility for the progress and the quality of the project

- Selection process: from July 12 to 21 2021
- Nomination of candidates: July 21 2021
- Starting of the PhD: September 2021 - Duration : 36 months
