SPACE - Programme 2019/2020

SPACE - Programme 2019/2020Pau, Anglet and Bayonne campuses

The SPACE programme made its second start on 17 October 2019 during which the operational committee presented :

  • the deployment of the devices implemented last year at the scale of the institution ;
  • its new offer of solutions to be integrated into the success contract: Tutoring, ORIENT'ACTION, UPPASS'COMPÉTENCES;
  • the restructuring of the Bachelor's degree in economics and management through the competency-based approach and the integration of colourings.

The actions carried out over the 2018-2019 period have focused in particular on the implementation of IUT/LICENCE and L2/LP gateways, the development of an entrepreneurship axis or the acquisition of telepresence robots - experimentation for students with disabilities [FR].

Helping with reorientation and individualising courses

With regard to the new offer of solutions, two flagship actions were presented.

Orient'actions

Carried out by the SCUIO-IP, Orient'actions is one of the collective reorientation devices for UPPA students who are dropping out and wish to reorient themselves while maintaining their learning dynamics.

Every Thursday, group workshops will allow them to work on their reorientation project, to discover sectors of activity and professions, or to obtain a personalised positioning and support on Parcoursup.

UPPASS'Compétences

This is a tool for individualising courses. It allows a student to validate à la carte UEs, integrated into a portofolio, in the form of university certificates.

By capitalising on these certificates, the student can ultimately validate a diploma. Discussed with the teaching staff or the service (SCUIO-IP), it respects the intake capacity (conversely, it cannot allow the opening threshold of a UE/EC to be reached) and the pre-requisites. It is subject to the authorization of registration by the training course which provides the UE.

Thus, for example, a trainee in continuing education can enrol in a UE of the UPPA training offer in order to be certified in a financial, legal or accounting skill, etc. In the same way, a student can complete a Bachelor's degree by aggregating his or her diploma with other UEs that would enable him or her to strengthen an application file for a training course.

Restructuring the training offer by blocks of competences

The session also provided an opportunity to discuss the innovative approach of the Economics and Management Licence, which has undertaken to write a new training architecture by reorganising its UEs into blocks of skills defined on the basis of the RNCP sheet.

It has integrated the colouring of "entrepreneurship" in the redesign of its model.
