Labels of excellence

The Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour is one of the French universities with the I-SITE (Initiatives Science Innovation, Territories, Economy) label. It has also been awarded several labels for its training activities.

Labels obtained within the framework of the "Programme Investissement d'Avenir"

The "Programme d'Investissements d'Avenir" aims to provide France with an internationally visible and competitive Higher Education and Research sector in the field of innovation and technology. This programme was initiated by the French government in 2010.

 

I-SITE label, Initiative of Excellence

  • I-SITE E2S UPPA, university excellence recognized by the French government. The national label of excellence “I-SITE,” which stands for “Science, Innovation, Territories, and Economy Initiative,” is an action of the government’s program of “Investments for the Future” intended for universities.

 

Specific labels for training

Label "Hybridization of higher education training"
  • HyPE-13 project: HYbrider et Partager les Enseignements: this project, led by a consortium of 12 French universities, has a budget of €3 million over 24 months. It started on 1 November 2020 and aims to support teachers and students towards success with new learning systems that promote the hybridisation of training.

 

Label SFRI, Structuring training through research in initiatives of excellence
  • GREEN, University Research School for Energy and Environment : Open for enrolment at the start of the 2022/2023 academic year, this university school aims to train tomorrow's research managers, enlightened about the challenges of energy and the environment, capable of understanding their complexity and proposing innovative solutions in the face of the challenges of transitions.

Label "IDEFI, Initiatives of Excellence in Innovative Training"
  • PYREN project: Cross-border programme for Franco-Spanish higher education (UPPA and the Spanish public universities of the Basque Country, Navarre and Aragon)

  • CMI FIGURE project, Master's Degree in Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering

Label "NCU, New university courses"

European Commission Diploma Supplement

Young graduates or holders of a diploma obtained at the University of Pau and the Pays de l'Adour have an official European Union document attached to their diploma, enabling employers and educational institutions to better understand what a given qualification consists of.

When they apply for a job or wish to enrol on a course in another country, where it is sometimes difficult to explain what they have learnt during their studies, this diploma supplement can help them to showcase their qualifications throughout Europe.
