Tenure-track Junior Professor Recruitment

Tenure-track junior professor research chairs (CPJ) are aimed at scientists holding a PhD who have already demonstrated their ability to produce excellent research. This is a contract offering the opportunity, after a pre-tenure period of 3 to 6 years and an assessment, to be awarded tenure in the corps of University Professors.

A research and teaching agreement will specify the tenure track to be followed in order to acquire a qualification in line with the missions of the corps into which you are to be granted tenure.

Decree no. 2021-1710 of 17 December 2021 relating to the junior professorship contract provided for in article L. 952-6-2 of the Education Code and article L. 422-3 of the Research Code.

Order of 6 February 2023 relating to the general terms and conditions for transfers, secondments and competitive recruitment of lecturers, university professors and junior professorships.

 
Submitting applications

Applications must be submitted exclusively via the Galaxie application of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research up to the date indicated.

The application file consists of: 

  • online application form
  • identity document (ID) with photograph
  • proof of possession of a PhD, as provided for in article L 612-7 of the Education Code, or of a diploma whose equivalence is recognised in accordance with the procedure set out in 1° of article 5 of the aforementioned Decree of 17 December 2021
  • the examination report for the diploma produced, or a statement from the university certifying that no examination report has been drawn up
  • an analytical presentation of the works, books, articles, achievements and activities related to the profile of the position, mentioning the ones that the candidate intends to present at the audition
  • The ‘Fiche de candidature CPJ.docx’ file (36.4 Kb) duly completed
  • a copy of each of the works, books, articles and achievements mentioned in the analytical presentation and which the candidate intends to present at the audition, not exceeding six documents.

Points to remember to facilitate the examination of your application by the administrative services and the selection committee rapporteurs:

  • Remember to save your image formats (scanned documents) so that they are legible when the file is opened. Make sure the image is not rotated.
  • All documents to be uploaded must be in PDF format and no larger than 5MB, with the exception of the final report and the titles and assignments, which must be no larger than 10MB.

 

IMPORTANT: Administrative documents and the examination report written in whole or in part in a foreign language must be accompanied by a translation into French, the accuracy of which the candidate certifies on his or her honour. Failing this, the application will be declared inadmissible. Translation of the analytical presentation and the works, books, articles and achievements is optional.

IMPORTANT: We advise you to submit the documents making up your application as soon as possible on Galaxie. In the event of an incomplete application, missing documents may be requested from candidates before the closing date. After this deadline, any incomplete application will be declared inadmissible.
